25 years Mercantum Medical Care: 1998 – 2023
We are very proud to announce our 25th anniversary. On behalf of everyone at Mercantum Medical Care, we would like to thank you; all our loyal business partners, suppliers, clients and associates, and of course to our colleagues who have contributed to the success of our company.
It all started officially on 24 June in 1998, when founder Hans Mulder started with the company in Heemstede, The Netherlands.
After successful years and several relocations, since 2020 our office is located in a brand new building in Amsterdam, together with our warehouse. An acquisition also took place at this time and, with a new director and owner, Mercantum Medical Care has been growing ever since.
Mercantum Medical Care has a strong financial position and now continues to grow. Buying and selling is our engine. It is our service that truly fuels our business concept; shipping to our clients worldwide.

A few words about us
Mercantum Medical Care is a solid and reputed international wholesaler and trading company with office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and founded in 1998. We supply branded medical products and dental products directly from the manufacturer or through a European distributor. Furthermore, we can also supply branded pharmaceuticals, through our company Westender Pharmaceuticals. Westender was founded in 2005 and is part of the Mercantum Medical Care group. The company is a subsidiary of Mercantum and is based in the same office in Amsterdam. We deal with medical, dental and pharmaceutical products, focusing on well-known brands from all major manufacturers.
How it all came to be…
Network and knowledge
Our 27-year-old history forms the foundation of our current success. Once two individual organizations operating in different markets, nowadays merged into one whereby our company contributes to a constant and mutual growth and enhancement thanks to its knowledge and network. Due to our 27 years of experience in the international medical supply we can say we are experts and a solid partner.
